Meet Daris. He’s a sophomore eager to make a difference in the world. He first contacted OA eight months ago, wondering if we needed first aid kits at our projects. Fast forward to September, and Daris had gifted OA 38 brand new kits, chock full of first-aid goodies. We distributed the kits to our schools, providing instruction as to how to use the various bandages and ointments. If you ask me, Daris is the perfect example of an ordinary person doing extraordinary work. Daris says,
“My family's Iranian heritage has given me a unique perspective on global health. During my visits there, I witnessed firsthand how even minor injuries can significantly impact people's lives due to limited access to basic healthcare. This experience ignited my passion for making a difference. Healing Hands First Aid is about more than just helping those far away; it's about addressing a universal need for accessible healthcare. Healing Hands First Aid is about building an international network of chapters, each focused on supporting a local area in need. Imagine a world where a simple first-aid kit can prevent a small injury from becoming a major health issue – that's the future I'm working towards. . . .”
Wow! From all of us here at Orphans Africa, from all of the children, teachers, and administrators, we say thank you, Daris! You have made a difference! You are extraordinary! Learn more about Daris’ work at www.healinghandsfirstaid.org.
