Every year, our Benefit Luncheon has its own unique flavor. Whether it’s a new format or venue, we’re never quite certain how things will shake out. This year was unusual in that we welcomed a huge percentage of newcomers— people who were unfamiliar with Orphans Africa and the work that we do. So, not only were we delighted with all the familiar and lovely faces, but it was an honor to greet new folks and welcome them to our “family.” The response from everyone was overwhelming and positive. Once the final tally was determined in the few days following the Benefit, we raised a grand total of $87,246.00, shattering our goal of $80,000!
