Currently Orphans Africa (OA) educates, houses, clothes & feeds hundreds of children every year. Costs are ongoing, and it is our policy that no child will miss a meal.

As you might imagine, caring for that many children requires a lot of resources. As our organization is based in Tacoma, Washington, it’s simply not possible to physically be there in Tanzania to comfort the children, teach them, or cook their meals. But don’t worry . . . we have a vast network of grassroots folks who provide all the nurturing. What OA does is raise the funds to build the dormitories, kitchens and dining halls, to dig deep water wells, to provide each child with uniforms, books, and supplies. Without funds from OA, these children would still struggle.

With that in mind, we always say that the best way to help the orphans is to fundraise. Fundraising can not only be a fun and valuable experience, but it also becomes a learning opportunity as you communicate with others about your goals, your passion, and the mission of Orphans Africa (OA). As a fundraising volunteer, it is important for you to know more about OA, as people will ask you questions. Be prepared. Read our website thoroughly, and access the resources below. FUNDRAISING PACKET
This packet will provide you with the tools you need to be able to fundraise effectively. Spend some time with it and think through how you can get involved, and perhaps how you can involve your physical as well as your online community.

It's a fair guess to say that donors usually want to know more about an organization before they commit. This PowerPoint presentation lays it all out: who we are, what we do, and why it's important. This slideshow can be used in a private or public setting.
Create your own fundraising webpage
Email us at OA@orphansafrica.org for a fundraising link.
Whether you've decided to run a marathon, or raise enough funds to buy 500 library books, it's helpful to have a personalized webpage where donors can go to find out more about your goal, and to donate securely. Having your own webpage also means you don't have to worry about collecting the funds and then giving them to OA. Instead, donors can give directly to OA through your webpage. We'll take care of the receipting and will make certain that the funds you raise go toward your goal.
